an audio-only horror game

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

EARSHOT collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers. Nothing the game learns about you leaves your phone.

What stays on your phone

The game keeps a small save file on your device: how far you have got, the rooms and fears you chose to include or exclude, an optional name you can type in, and how you reacted to sounds in past sessions so it can choose what to play next. It also keeps a note that you bought the full game. None of this is sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes all of it; a purchase can be restored afterwards from the App Store.

Motion sensors

During a session the game reads your phone's motion sensors to tell whether you are still, flinching or turning. These readings are used in the moment, on the device, and are not stored or transmitted.

Microphone

EARSHOT never records audio and never requests microphone access.

Purchases

The in-app purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple's handling of that information is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Crash reports and email

If a session ends unexpectedly, the game may offer to share a short technical report. It is only sent if you choose to share it yourself, through your own email or messaging app. If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you, and do not share it with anyone.

Children

EARSHOT is a horror game and is not intended for children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. A change that would mean collecting data would also require an app update and a new App Store privacy label.
